Message by Director General

I greet all stakeholders in the Pakistan Public  Works Department: its clients, employees, contractors and its Ministry and the citizens of Pakistan upon assuming the charge of Director General, Pak PWD. First and foremost, to our users and clients, I assure that we shall leave no stone unturned to bolster delivery in our functions, and request your trust.

To the Ministry, I assert full commitment to its vision and policies, and request for its support in our endeavours. To the employees of the Pak PWD, I exhort you to perform in a manner befitting our rich legacy in the service of the nation. Our feet must be firmly on terra-firma, and while we must dream big, the visions must be backed by hard work. We must endeavour to achieve our potential and for this we must transcend narrow concerns and internal strife. It shall be my concern that irritants are minimized and policies re-oriented so that opportunities are fair and individual aspirations, as far as they align with those of the organization, are fulfilled. 

To our agencies and contractors, suppliers and consultants, I acknowledge your role as an integral part of the Department, and I assure to do justice to our role of facilitator in execution of works, and to procure for you fair conditions. I seek your full support for improvement in delivery both in Construction and Maintenance. The way forward is through e-Governance, technology up gradation, capacity building, alternate financing and Green Works initiatives. We must work diligently and sincerely and take decisions expeditiously without fear. Safety, economy and quality in a transparent and efficient manner will be our motto.
